I am writing to inform you that the BMA’s “Civilian Doctors Conference” is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 5 November 2008 at the British Medical Association, BMA House, Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9JP. I am pleased to announce that the programme will include the following speakers:

The objectives of the conference are to consider the proposed pay structure for civilian medical practitioners as well as to debate other key issues affecting civilian doctors during their careers, including advances in training and education, regulatory reform, overseas issues and other changes affecting this group of doctors. The conference is open to all civilian doctors.
The conference is available to members of the BMA at no charge, and to non-members at a charge of £25.00 (including VAT) to cover administration costs, lunch and refreshments on the day. In most cases the MoD should cover your travel and subsistence costs. Please note that the BMA cannot meet travel, subsistence or accommodation costs.
