Letter to all consultant ophthalmologists and anaesthetists - Proposed BUPA approved ophthalmology network

Dear Doctor
As reported to you, we are continuing to engage in further discussions with BUPA and have asked BUPA to outline their criteria and objectives on quality assurance and cost effective practice.
Whilst we have had a response from BUPA, this has not moved things forward, and we are awaiting further details before the profession can continue with alternative proposals to the ophthalmology network.
We would continue to urge you not to take part in the network initiative whist these discussions are ongoing.
