As part of the celebration of one hundred years of the ARM we have put together this interactive timeline to give you a flavour of the news and the people involved over the years. You will need to have Macromedia Flash to view it. To download Flash, please click here.
Instructions
1. Start by clicking on one of the green buttons in either the Chairman or ARM 'decade' timeline.
2. Events for that Chairman or decade will then appear in the left hand pane.
3. Clicking on one of the events will then bring up more detail in the right hand pane.
There are two movie clips that can be viewed. Both are in Realplayer format. If your don't have Realplayer installed on your system you can get it here. The first clip is of the Association's first world tour, to Australia, in 1934. This can be found by clicking the green button in the ARM timeline under '1933' and then on the first item at the top of the list. Secondly, by clicking on 1986, you can see the Nuffield library being opened by Princess Diana. Both clips are, unfortunately, without sound.
